Your opinion
Ok here's the deal. I'm 27 years old and have smoked since I was 16 or maybe even younger, but it's been too long put this worthless crap into my mouth, throat and lungs. I need to quit. Here's what I've tried so far:Chantix (was working but all the hype about suicides and depression scared me...maybe just another excuse)Patches - didn't workGum - forget about itSt. John's Wort (an herbal substance that didn't work)Allen Carr's novel "The Easy Way to Quit Smoking" excellent book that everybody should read, quit smoking now, but here's the my situation. I'm a college student that's student teaching at a high school where I'm in control of seniors and my own lesson plans, I work,Herbal cigarettes, and then go home and work some more. I quit for two days and then cracked because I "got a craving" and was sick of the withdraw. Does anybody know how long withdraw will beat the living hell out of a person until it evaporates? My symptoms were mainly tiredness and a high lack of concentration which I need as a teacher.I was also thinking about cutting the chantix pills in half since I had a weeks worth and see if the withdraw would be lessen then. As for now I set a quit date for the first week of May. Do you think I'm being to irrational and stupid?
