Smoke Free Marathon Monday!

Hi everyone,Today Paul and I went to our friends house in Newton (they live on the Boston Marathon route) for their annual Marathon party. I was wondering how I would do since there are a good four or five smokers that I used to congregate with that I knew were going to be there. I wasn't worried about smoking, I am done with it but just the social situation in general. Can you believe that 3 of those 5 have now quit smoking!! I was so phsyched! Instead of smoking, we chatted about how we quit, how long it's been, stop smoking, and how glad we are to have quit. So, what a great party it was! The weather was perfect, high 60's and sunny. We were at the 18 mile mark, just a bit before what they call "Heartbreak Hill" (for those who know your marathon trivia...lol) Here's a few pics from the day:The man wearing number 1 ended up the winner! This is Team Hoyt. They are very well know in Boston as the elder Hoyt runs while pushing his disabled son every year. Such an inspiration. This is our friend Dave, who runs the marathon every year. Dave's on the left, quit smoking now, the guy on the right is my hubby.......LOL.
