Tomorrow I have to place my dog asleep........

on my 20th birthday my boyfriend bought me this beautiful minature dacshund. He is a red slicker. We named him Wolfgang and call him Wolfie as a nickname. Flash forward...... I married that boyfriend,stop smoking, had three kids,quit smoking now, am 35 yrs old now and Wolfie has been by my side through it all. Wolf was diagnosied with cancer a few months back. We were told about 3 weeks ago that he didn't have much time left. In the last 2 weeks Wolf has wasted away to nothing. My husband tells me that now is the time. I find it so hard to even think about it. When I walk in the room he wags his tail. I do think that he may be suffering now.
